Middle School at LPLC
Our Middle School program is designed to challenge students, spark curiosity, and build confidence as they grow into independent learners. Students participate in two core academic courses—Math and Language Arts—that form the foundation of their learning each session.
In Math, our goal is to strengthen each student’s understanding of key concepts while making learning interactive, meaningful, and even a little fun. We focus on steady progress, problem-solving skills, and helping students develop the confidence they need to tackle more advanced material.

Our Language Arts program brings together writing, grammar, and spelling in a creative and encouraging environment. Students are given opportunities to express their ideas, develop their voice as writers, and strengthen communication skills that will support them not only in high school, but throughout life.

In addition to core academics, Middle School students also enjoy a variety of electives and life skills courses each session. These hands-on classes allow students to explore interests, discover new talents, and learn practical skills in a collaborative setting.
Our curriculum is designed to align with Ohio education standards, helping homeschool families maintain flexibility while also preparing students for a smooth transition to public or private high school if they choose that path. Most importantly, we strive to create a learning environment where middle schoolers feel inspired, supported, and excited to learn.
We are currently reviewing curriculum options for the
2026-2027 school year. We will update our website with more information when it becomes available.

Yearbook Club
Our Middle School Yearbook Club gives students the exciting opportunity to help create the school’s official yearbook from start to finish. Using Canva, students collaborate to design pages, capture memories, and tell the story of the school year.

Each student chooses a role that fits their interests—whether that’s interviewing classmates, taking photos, writing captions, or designing creative page layouts. It’s a great way for students to explore their talents, learn new skills, and work together as a team.

The finished yearbook is professionally printed by a local printing company, giving students the pride of seeing their hard work come to life while preserving memories for the entire school community.
Boost Learning & Explore Electives on Wednesdays!
If your family is looking to give your child extra support in Math and Language Arts from their Tuesday & Thursday classes, and also wants to outsource Science and History, our Wednesday program is the perfect fit!

Some Math and Language Arts concepts can be tricky, so we provide additional support through fun supplemental activities, hands-on games, and engaging curriculum that reinforce what your child is learning during the week. Wednesdays give students the chance to sharpen skills, build confidence, and strengthen comprehension.

We also know that not every elective is easy or fun to teach at home. That’s why we’re offering the two electives homeschool families most often wish were available: Science, History, and Social Studies! Let us handle the messy, creative experiments of Science, and take your child on an exciting journey through History. We can’t wait to explore, discover, and learn together with your student!
