Meet The Team

Founder, Administrator & 4/5th Grade Lead
Melissa Ferris
The vision for Life Point Learning Center was placed on my heart at the same time I was called to Homeschool our two boys, summer of 2022. Creating an alternative education for families that have the desire to homeschool but feel stuck in public education layed heavy on my heart. I'm forever grateful God has called me to this mission! I have an undergraduate degree in Middle Childhood Education in Math and Science and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Mathematics Education. I taught in public education for 11 years with my last 2 years being the 6th grade administrator. Summer of 2016 God called my husband and I to ministry. I stepped away from public school teaching and have now served on Staff at Life Point Church for the last 7 years.

Finance Director & Assistant Administrator
Shelby Parsons
When God called our family to move two thousand miles across the country from Arizona to Ohio in December 2022, I knew he had something in store for us! We are avid followers of Dave Ramsey (living in Baby Step 7!) and call Life Point Church our home. My path crossed with Melissa & Allie in the spring of 2023, and it has been an adventure ever since! I have 20yrs of professional experience with 10yrs working in a financial and managerial capacity. My role at the Learning Center is Finance Director, staff support, tech guru, yearbook club instructor, enrollment coordinator, and back up teacher/aide! When I'm not at the Learning Center I work for another company as a Full Charge Bookkeeper/Social Media & Marketing Manager and help my husband homeschool our children while supporting his passion for ultramarathon running (yes, he runs 50 miles+ for fun!)

Preschool Lead
Jamie Snyder
Before Homeschooling, I taught in the Mentor School District as a long-term substitute, in the Euclid School District as an Elementary Reading Tutor and then I taught First Grade at All Saints School for 7 years. I am certified in Early Childhood Education Preschool- 5th Grade. My Husband and I own a business, Snyder Carpentry, which we run from our home office. Our whole family attends Life Point Church and all 3 of our kids are very involved in the Youth Programs. I am very excited for the opportunity to teach Preschool and still Homeschool our children!

I have served in Christian education for over 15 years as a librarian, teacher aide, and most recently as a third-grade teacher. One of my passions is children's literature and one way I encourage my students' love of reading is by providing our own classroom library cart. I received my Bachelor's degree in History from Paul Quinn College, in Dallas, Texas. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my two adult children, walking my dogs, and reading historical fiction.

Middle School Lead
Allie Domenico
Hello! My name is Allie Domenico and I’m a wife to my husband Vince of 16 years and we have 3 awesome kids, Max (13), Leo (10) and Winnie (8). We are a big sports and outdoor family. You can find us at the ballpark, the pool, or the park on most days :) I am a teacher by degree, have my master's degree in standard based education and taught middle school math for most of my career in Perry. I also am a Regional VP with an amazing health and wellness business for the last 7 years and I get to work part time around our family’s schedule. In 2021, four other homeschooling moms and I helped create a local co-op called Raising Arrows, where over 25 families get together once a week to do life and school together.
